Third Party Asset Integration Starter Service


This Service configures and enables the integration of configuration data from Customer’s existing third-party asset management tools into the BMC Helix ITSM CMDB using Atrium Integrator and REST API, enabling enriched asset information.

What you get:

Data retrieved from third party tool will be imported into BMC Helix ITSM CDM using REST API. The data imported will be normalized and reconciled in the corresponding CMDB dataset.

BMC will perform the following:

  • Conduct workshop on the integration and CMDB classes
  • Prepare a Solution Design Document
  • Import initial bulk file with data exported from 3rd party tool into QA CMDB using Atrium Integrator tool
  • Build corresponding scripts based on REST API to import data into CMDB (maximum 10000 records per hour):
    • Up to 5 classes
    • Up to 15 attributes per class
    • Up to 2 types of relationships (e.g., hosted and people)
  • Prepare a Construction Document and Test Plan Document regarding the changes
  • Configure and run normalization and reconciliation jobs within QA platform
  • Provide support to the customer for migrating to production environment

Customer Responsibilities:

  • Export initial bulk data to file
  • Provide access credentials to
    • Third party tools
    • BMC Helix ITSM
  • Provide the necessary technical resources on the agreed start date

Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Solution Design Document
  • Construction Document
  • Test Plan document

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed these Consulting Services when the in-scope Consulting Services have been completed and the Deliverables have been delivered to the Customer Project Manager.

    • Third party tools
    • BMC Helix ITSM
  • BMC Helix ITSM from 21.02 up to 23.3 (SaaS and On-Premise Version)
